This volume contains the proceedings of a conference on Medical Education inCanada, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia sponsored by The Royalty Society of Medicine Foundation, Inc. and The Josiah Macy, Jr. Founda- tion. An international panel of authorities discussed how medical schools in those four countries could profit from each other's experience in organizing medical education so that faculty and students recognize more fully their responsibility for understanding and meeting the health needs of the community. Perspectives in medical education, clinical practice, epidemiology, and government are presented.
