About this time other investigators, namely, Messrs. Stanley and Heyland,flmade a series of experiments with specially constructed machines Operating on the prineipel of the induction generator. However, as these mach - ines lost all semblance to the squirrel cage induction motor, owing to the addition of special windings, commutators, and devices, they can hardly be classed with the induction generator.
