When there is no reference to any chapter, the sections are taken from the Revised Statutes, Title II. Chapter XV. Part I. The letters R. S. Refer to this Title of the Revised Statutes. When the law of 1842 is referred to, the abovementioned act, chapter 150, is intended. When the law of 1841 is referred to, chapter 260 of the laws of that year is intended.
