Alan is the hugely popular presenter of BBC's Gardeners' World and Ground Force. He writes for the Daily Express, Radio Times and BBC's Gardeners' World magazine, as well as being the author of more than 30 books, including 3 bestselling novels. He holds honorary doctorates from Bradford and Essex Universities, and was awarded the MBE in the Millennium New Year Honours list.
