The third stage of a five-stage course, this book reflects the points of view of young people making the transition to adulthood. It is "serious" - dealing with relationships with parents and peers, thoughts about the future and anxieties about exams. At the same time it is "light-hearted" - there are guessing games, questionnaires, things to make and do, and a portrait of a professional female clown. There are ten modules: "Planete des Ados (the world of adolescents); "Quelle galere!" (household chores, pocket money); "Ca se fete!" (festivals); "Pourquoi?" (descriptions of character); "Au cirque" (circus performers, stage arts); "Expressions" (the environment, town planning); "En scene" (ten role plays on travelling, booking rooms); "Nostalgie" (describing former times); "Tu reves?" (dreams, fantasy); "A comme avenir (talking about the future). It is fully in line with the National Curriculum requirements. The book includes "Travail autonome" (independent learning) sections every two modules. Also available is a teacher's book, photocopy masters and assessment file, cassettes, colour overhead transparencies, a reading scheme and IT.
