This book starts by defining decision-making in geography and the techniques used, and has geographical decision-making exercises, bringing in current political issues, such as the Channel Tunnel, the Docklands complex and the possibility of a fourth London airport. In helping the author, the exercise "Energy and the Third World" was provided by P.J. Shoebridge and B.A.G. Plummer produced the exercise "Land consolidation and the environment" and "Parks, people and the natural environment".
