Acerca del autor

NAOMI SEGAL is Professor of French Studies at the University of Reading where she founded and directs the MA in The Body and Representation. She has published numerous articles and is the author or editor of nine other books, including Narcissus and Echo (1988); Freud in Exile (1988); The Adulteress's Child (1992); Scarlet Letters (1997); Coming Out of Feminism? (1998); Andre Gide: Pederasty and Pedagogy (1998) and Le Desir a l'oeuvre (2000). - LIB TAYLOR is a Senior Lecturer in theatre in the Department of Film and Drama at the University of Reading. She has published on women dramatists since 1958, the theory and practice of women's theatre, contemporary performance and deaf sign languages in theatre. She has also edited several volumes of plays including some by Caryl Churchill. She is a theatre director and some of her research takes the form of performance practice. - ROGER COOK teaches Lesbian and Gay Studies in the MA on The Body and Representation and is a Lecturer in the Department of Fine Art at the University of Reading. He has published articles and conference papers relating the work of Pierre Bourdieu to the field of contemporary art and is completing a PhD thesis in the Department of the History of Art and Architecture at Reading. He made brief appearances in some films of the late Derek Jarman, notably, The Garden in which he appeared as Jesus Christ.
