Sinopsis
Suitable for both specialists and non-specialists, this textbook provides a foundation in electronic and electrical engineering for HND and undergraduate students, while making no excessive demands on the reader's mathematical skills. The basics of circuit theory and analysis are covered at the outset, followed by discrete devices and integrated circuits. Electrical machines and power electronics are treated thoroughly in a central group of chapters. These are followed by chapters on digital logic circuits. The book also covers: computer architecture and networks; microprocessors and microcontrollers; analogue, digital and optical fibre communication systems and telephony;electromagnetic compatability; and instrumentation and measurement. The book contains around 100 worked examples and each chapter has a problems section at the end.
