In this volume, an attempt has been made to gather the chief law relating to creditors and debtors in relation to the rights of each which spring out of the contract or the general law. The different sorts and forms of indebtedness, the important subject of liens, the payment, settlement and compromise of the debt, the manner of collecting a debt through the means of legal machinery and, finally, the law of bank ruptcy under the National Bankruptcy Act, are all considered. The volume ought to be helpful to busi ness men in a very practical way. The author is not familiar with any other volume which attempts either in a small or large way to bring together the law relating to debtor and creditor in its various aspects.
