On tbc wall above tbc sideboard a framed crayon drawing of a young man. More to tbc left double doors witb glass panels leading out to tbc garden. In tbc wall at tbc left a window looking out on tbc road. Forward in tbc same wall a door leading to tbc ball and tbc upper part of tbc bouse. Between tbc window and door a lady's davenport stands against ibe wall. Near it a wicker cbair. In tbc centre of tbc room a round table. Cbairs, upbolstered in faded green plusb, stand round tbc table. To tbc rigbt, forward, a smaller table witb a smoking service on it. Near it an easycbair and a lounge. Cocoanut mats lie before tbc fireplace, beside tbc lounge and before tbc doors. Tbe floor is of stained planking. Yke double doors at tbc back and tbc folding doors at tbc rigbt baoe lace curtains, wbicb are drawn balfway. Tbc lower sask of tbe window is lifted and five window is bung witb beat/y green plusk curtains. Tbc blind is pulled down to tbc edge of tbc lifted lower sasb. It is a warm afternoon in june and tbc room is filled witb soft sunligbt whick is waning.
