Excerpt from The New Testament View of the Old: A Contribution to Biblical Introduction and Exegesis
This volume is the second on the New Testament Quota tions, the former volume, published in 1868, giving the quotations as arranged in tables according to their agreement with, or variation from, the originals, whether the Hebrew text or the Septuagint Version, accompanied by various readings and versions of the texts, and with critical notes subjoined. This former volume treats of what may be termed the external form of the quotations.
