This distinction 19 made, however, rather 1n reference to the title of the professorship I hold, and to the duties belonging to it, than to the exact character of the two parts of the work. The second palt is represented as relating to practice, because it will describe particular diseases, and the treatment adapted to each; yet it will admit and require many theoretical discussions.
