Sinopsis

Dusty Springfield's contribution to music was phenomenal - from her international hit 'I Only Want to Be With You' in 1963 to the chart-topping single 'What Have I Done to Deserve This' with the Pet Shop Boys in 1987, her musical career was as varied as it has been important. Her life was extraordinary and often harrowing as she battled with self-destructive addictions and a troubled sexuality that she concealed for years. This fully updated edition of Lucy O'Brien's seminal biography is a tribute to a star who is still held in huge affection. Her voice, recorded in all its vulnerability and passion, will endure for ever.

Reseña del editor

This edition of the biography of one of Britain's best ever female pop vocalists has been updated in tribute to the first anniversary of her death in March 1999. Too ill to attend her investiture at Buckingham Palace, Dusty Springfield received her OBE at her bedside in the last stages of her illness.
