The end of the 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s have been a time of great change for academic libraries and librarians. Rapid developments in technology have revolutionized the libraries' means and mission, while declining budgets have adversely impacted the ability of librarians to carry out their roles. Acerca del autor
RASHELLE S. KARP is a Professor in the Department of Library Science at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She teaches primarily in the areas of collection development, business bibliography, services for differently abled patrons, indexing and abstracting, management, and special libraries.
