He has decided to take a vacation for the holidays ? not for himself, of course, but for his friend and partner-in-sleuthing Emily Charters, who is still recovering from open-heart surgery. Emily, whom Ransom regards as his ?unofficial grandmother,? agrees to go away with him to a picturesque Michegan guest-house for the Christmas holidays only because she feels he needs the vacation himself. But no-one has counted on the troubled history of the guest-house. Two years ago there was a brutal murder ~ the co-owner was killed but the body was never found. Ransom and Charters are the first guests in the newly re-opened establishment and they set in motion a terrible string of events which may lead again to murder.* A NEAR FINE copy of the 1st./1st. FNL. with NO MAJOR FAULTS.* 1997-12-01. n. Nº de ref. del artículo: 5722
