This pack contains the 1998 edition of the "Cassell Concise Dictionary", and a CD-ROM containing the complete text of the dictionary. The CD-ROM is on a Windows '95 platform, and also includes a range of additional features, such as word-puzzles and crossword and anagram solvers. The CD allows for a wide range of searches: on individual words, groups of words, usage and style fields and etymologies, and also on any combination of these fields. It allows for information to be displayed in a variety of ways and for screens to be sized and moved by the user. The CD also allows the creation of mini dictionaries, tailor-made to the user's particular needs; it can also help with misspelling and mispronunciation.
