Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book, originally published in 1827, is an exploration of the languages of the American Indians by the Moravian missionary David Zeisberger. The writer was particularly skilled in the Onondago and Delaware languages and provides a detailed analysis of their grammatical structure and syntax. Zeisberger's work is significant for its insights into the complexity and diversity of American Indian languages, challenging the prevailing view that they were inferior to European languages. This book is a valuable resource for linguists, anthropologists, and anyone interested in the history and diversity of human languages.
