Excerpt from A Grammar of the Latin Language: For the Use of Schools and Colleges
The object of this work is to obtain a full and consecutive account of all the facts of our Lord's life and ministry. In order to do this, the four gospel nar ratives have been so brought together, as to present as nearly as powihlc the true chronological order, and w ere the same transaction is described b y more than one writer, the different accounts are placed side by side, so as to fill out and supply each other. Such an arrangement affords the only full and survey of all the testimony relating to any and every portion of our Lor tory. The evan lists are thus made their own best inte retare; and it is shown how won erfully they are sup lementury to each 0 or in minute as well as in important articulars, an in this way is brought out fully and clear] the fundamenta characteristics of their testimony, unity in diversity. To Bi is classes, Sabbath schools, and all who love and seek the truth in their closets and in their families, this work will be found a useful assistant.
