Daran schliesst sich zugleich die Behandlung einer anderen Grösse an welche von green gar nicht und von gauss nur gelegentlich und unvollständig besprochen ist, nam lich des aus der Potentialfunction durch Integration hervorgehen den Potentials, welches als Ausdruck der von N aturkrä.ften gethanen mechanischen Arbeit in der mathematischen Physik eine grosse Rolle spielt.
