Sinopsis

Here is a book that will encourage and empower women preachers to preach as women, as feminist theologians and as those who will make a difference to the Church. It provides a step-by-step guide to approaching the Bible from a feminist standpoint with suggestions for how to develop your own voice as a preacher. Susan Durber gives advice on how to preach the lectionary, on how to find new angles on well-known texts and on how to challenge and recast well-established interpretations. To show how the theory works in practice she includes sample sermons from her own preach- ing. The book will inspire reluctant and tired preachers to seize an important challenge with new energy.
