Sinopsis
This is a comprehensive first year undergraduate textbook for electrical/electronic/communications engineers. The author presents the material in a highly structured way to provide a smooth learning curve for the student of average mathematical ability. A top-down development is adopted, starting from the information that signals represent and proceeding to various simple applications of processing. Concepts and principles are introduced systematically, taking a natural sequence rather than the traditional one. Sufficient detail enables the student to use each concept, either in analysis or in actual signal processing. This is important, since many digital processes are packaged, so that the implementation is not difficult, but problems occur in practice due to mis-application or mis- interpretation of results.
