This is the third volume of the three-volume set, Random Counts in Scientific Work, that presents articles expanded from the proceedings of the Biometric Society Symposium held in Dallas, Texas (AAAS Conference). In these volumes leading scientists from the fields of mathematics, statistics, and applied disciplines investigate new and novel approaches and procedures for special types of counted data found in specific scientific problems.
