Admitting, for argument's sake, that the words were Daniel's, and used as the author says, would they not have their fulfilment in the declaration to the king, In the days of these kings shall the God of Heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed? Most certainly they would No such use can be made of the words last days, and apply them, exclusively, to a period yet future that is, if the inspired apostle knew what he meant when he wrote, God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in times past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his son. Heb. I. 1, 2. The last days there fore have reached already from Paul's day to ours.
