Some pray to God with a view to make him a party in their worldly and carnal conflicts. Such was the prayer presented to our Lord. (luke xii. And if we attain to an ac quaintance with the mind and will of God, we may take the full encouragement of that beautiful and comprehensive Promise, John xv. 7.
