"The Building of Architecture" is a step in the process that links metaphysical ideas with physical reality. For this issue of VIA, we have sought contributions that explore this process of building architecture. The wxpression of architectural intentions, first in drawings and then through the joining of materials, is a cyclical process in which theoretical concepts and pragmatic experience enrich each other. Thus, the physucal making of architecture can be seen as an essential part of the search for meaningful form. The articles we have collected here are intended to demonstrate aspects of this search.
