This edition of the Four Gospels is meant to provide boys with concise notes, such as have been found from experience to be most useful to them.

This volume, on St. Matthew's Gospel, contains explanatory and historical notes, and a marginal analysis of the text, together with maps and introductions on St. Matthew and his Gospel, (2) on Palestine in the time of Christ. A complete synopsis of the Life of Christ is added, showing by difference in type the parts recorded by St. Matthew. The notes, &o., will meet the require ments of all who wish to prepare the Gospel of St. Matthew in English for examination.
