Je défire en publiam aujourd'hui cette du&i0fl avoir rempli l'attente le voeu du Public. Au moins n'ai - je rien négligé pour la rendre la plus claire pofïible la mettre à la portée de ceux même qui ne fauroient que les Éléments ordinaires d'algèbre. -'celi dans cette vue que j'ai ajouté quelques éclaircifièments quelques n0tes fur différents endroits de louvrage foit pour en faciliter l'intelligence foit pour fuppléer à des détn0nf' tration3, que l'auteur renvoie quelquefois au Calcul différentiel. Ces notes étant pour la plupart de fimples explications qui ne peuvent iritéreffer que ceux qui font moins avancés dans la connbiffahce de l'analyfe devoicnt être placées naturellement au bas des pages où fe trouvent les articles, auxquels elles appartiennent; a iimais comme les premieres feuilles ont été imprimées fans qu'on ait eu cette attention, j'ai été obligé de renvoyer le tom à la fin de l'ouvrage.
