Im Nachstehenden soll die Syntax des angel sächsischen Gedichtes „phönix zur Darstellung gelangen. Das Verbum dieses literarischen Denk mals ist schon von Dr. J. Planer1 zum Gegenstand einer ausführlichen Untersuchung gemacht worden, so dass ich es in der vorliegenden Arbeit übergehen zu dürfen glaubte. Auch über den Genetiv hat bereits Dr. Holth uer2 gehandelt. Diese syntaktische Erscheinung habe ich jedoch in möglichster Kürze in den Kreis meiner Untersuchungen mithineingezogen, um nicht die Darstellung der Kasuslehre in ihrem Zusammenhange zu stören.
