Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book examines provisions of the Agriculture and Consumer Protection Act of 1973 and the Rice Production Act of 1975. Should they expire, the author analyzes economic and agricultural impacts for 1978 to 1980 under a reversion to foundational legislation. The author projects likely conditions, farm income and production changes, and supply, utilization, and farmer price alterations for wheat, feed grains, cotton, soybeans, rice, and dairy products. This book concludes that income would be affected significantly under basic legislation only if wheat quotas were accepted and domestic wheat supported at 90 percent of parity, but also that net Treasury cost of CCC operations could increase by a billion dollars or more annually because of increased loans and acquisitions. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
