The writer has avoided these, and now presents to his juvenile readers, a fittle book of simple fgq, which he sincerely hopes may not only interest them but prove benefi cial. In writing these pages it has given the author great pleasure for he always loves to do that which may, in any degree, please the young, and oncourage them to walk in the paths of piety and usefulness.
