Through an extensive look at the society's publications and meetings, this book uncovers the inner workings, growth, and impact of the Fabian Society and its members. It notably reveals how the Fabian Society produced many influential members of the British Parliament and prominent figures in the Labour Party. The author traces the history of the society's growth and the development of its political policy. The book also includes reports on the society's educational activities, including its famous Summer School, which attracted many notable thinkers.
