IN ofi'ering this little work to the consideration of my readers, I trust that the title will not be con sidered an ambitious one. It is simply meant to indicate that the phases of Life which I have eh deavored to depict are regarded from the Woman's point of view; and that in the execution of my plan, I have chiefly depended upon the approval and sympathy of my own sex.
