IOLI PATELLIS is Professor of Modern and Contemporary Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy, University of Athens, Greece. Her publications include Meaning and Action: Presuppositions of Radical Translation and Interpretation (1991) and The Philosophy of Thomas Hobbes: Reason and Causality in the New Physical and Political Science (1995).
