Janak Alford is a distinguished Chief Technology Officer, entrepreneur, and innovator with a Master's degree in architectural and environmental design. His multi-faceted career includes significant roles in the Canada Border Services Agency and Corrections Canada where he championed major tech transformations. During his professional journey, Alford founded prototypeD, a design firm and community hub instrumental in securing a $30 million fund to launch the Innovation Centre at Bayview Yards. His various tech start-ups have catalyzed success for hundreds of companies, supporting them in their journey towards rapid prototyping and development. His numerous accomplishments have earned him several awards including the Hugh P. O'Neil Award Outstanding Alumni Award, CBSA's President's Award for Innovation, and numerous scholarships and awards. Away from his profession, Alford is a father, husband, and triathlete who embraces a sustainable lifestyle with his family near Ottawa, Canada.
