Isaac Chauncey, was born Sept. 7, 1714. She married Rev. Hobart Estabrook. He was born at Canterbury, Con., Dec. 17, 1716; graduated at Yale College, 1736; was settled in the ministry at Millington, a parish of East Haddam, Con., Nov. 20, 1745, and died there, while in office, Jan. 28, 1766, in the 50th year of his age and 21st of his ministry. He was (says Dr. Field, in his History of the Towns of Haddam and East Haddam) "a steady, judicious and faithful minister, and is remembered with respect and affection by his people." He married first, Sept. 12, 1743, Sarah Williams (his cousin) of Mansfield, by whom he had one or two children, both of whom died young. She died June 25, 1746, aged 31. His second wife, and the mother of his surviving children, was Jerusha Chauncey, who died June 11, 1776, aged 62. Rev. Hobart Estabrook was the son of the Rev. Samuel Estabrook of Canterbury, and his wife Mrs. Rebecca (Hobart) Estabrook; and the grandson of the Rev. Joseph Estabrook, of Concord, Mass., and his wife Mrs. Mary (Mason) Estabrook. His mother, Mrs. Rebecca (Hobart) Estabrook, was the daughter of the Rev. Nehemiah Hobart of Newton, Mass., and his wife Sarah (Jackson) Hobart; and the grand-daughter of the Rev. Peter Hobart of Hingham, Mass. The children of Rev. Hobart and Jerusha Chauncey EstaBrook were, 1. Samuel, who died unmarried. 2. Hobart, who married a Paddleford. 3. Chauncey, who died unmarried. 4.
