This intermediate algebra text was developed in the spirit of the AMATYC standards for problem-solving, modeling, connecting with other disciplines, technology, and calculus reform. This book allow students to take an active role in the learning process through collaborative learning techniques, hands-on activities, and use of the graphing calculator as a problem-solving tool. Geometric examples and problems are integrated throughout the text. Students explore topics through various activities and use calculator based laboratory (CBL) experiments to generate data describing real-world situations and applications.
