With Apple's newest Macs, getting on the Internet is easier than ever. But once you're online, you're exposed to all sorts of malicious mischief-from eavesdroppers and viruses to hackers and stolen personal data. And if you are setting up a home network or running a Web site on your Mac, you are open to all sorts of harm. To help ensure you and your Mac are safe, authors Alan Oppenheimer and Charles Whitaker explain in a clear, no-nonsense style how to stay secure online, from protecting your Mac at home to guarding your data on a network at work. Alan and Charles also look at the emerging security issues of Apple's new operating system, Mac OS X.
