MATLAB(r) is an interactive program for numerical computation and data visualization that has become an essential tool for control engineers. The Control Tutorials for MATLAB and Simulink (r) included in this package provide a uniquely friendly and quick way to learn how to use MATLAB. The tutorials focus on analysis and design of automatic control systems, covering the basics of MATLAB, the most common classical control design techniques, and some modern (state-space) control design. Dawn Tilbury is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics department at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her research interests lie in the area of nonlinear control and she am a member of the Controls Group in the College of Engineering.
