In 1968 Liddell & Scott's Greek-English Lexicon was updated with a Supplement, which was available as a separate volume (until 1992). This new Revised Supplement is a complete replacement for the 1968 edition and brings the Lexicon fully up to date recording new papyrus and epigraphical finds up to the present day. The Supplement is fully cross- referenced to the main text, but additions have been designed to be easily used without constant reference to the main text. The Revised Supplement represents the results of 13 years' work by a team of academics led by Peter Glare and overseen by a British Academy- appointed committee. * Nearly twice the size of the original Supplement (1968) with over 20,000 entries * Brings the Greek-English Lexicon completely up to date, recording newly discovered words from papyrus and epigraphical finds from the 1940s to the present day * Entries list inflections, and citations from Greek authors illustrate usage of all words * Linear B forms are incorporated into entries for the first time * Together with the Lexicon, it provides a date-range for the Greek language from 1200 BC to 600 AD This book is intended for scholars, university libraries and students of ancient Greek who already own A Greek-English Lexicon Ninth Edition.
