This work, on the maximum entropy and Bayesian methods, is aimed at senior undergraduates in science and engineering. It takes the mystery out of statistics by showing how a few fundamental rules can be used to tackle a wide variety of problems in data analysis. This study should be of interest to senior undergraduate (2nd and 3rd year) and graduate students in physics, chemistry, and engineering. It is not aimed at statisticians.
