This is a comprehensive guide to the Cambodian classical literature written on palm leaves or Chinese paper between the 16th and 19th centuries. After the introduction, there is a section on each of the ten genres, which includes proverbs, riddles and songs, and a description of the versification. An alphabetical inventory of key authors follows, after which there is a similarly arranged list of works with details of manuscripts and metres, and with reference to the texts, versions and studies which are contained in a final bibliography.
