A sharp debate on the legality, morality, and ultimate value of affirmative action
"Sinopsis" puede pertenecer a otra edición de este libro.
Cohen and Sterba, two contemporary philosophers in sharp opposition, debate the value of affirmative action and racial preference. They defend thier views with analysis and commentay on landmark cases - including the most recent decisions of the United States Supreme Court and the current University of Michigan admissions cases, Gratz and Grutter.
Carl Cohen is professor of philosophy at the University of Michigan and the author of Affirmative Action and Racial Preference.
Receiving a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, James P. Sterba has gone on to publish (either as author or editor) many notable books, textbooks, and scholarly articles in the fields of ethics and social and political philosophy. He currently teaches at the University of Notre Dame.
