He received a traditional religious education and taught himself secular subjects. He arrived in Israel in 1912 and worked in agriculture in villages and kibbutzim. In 1917, he began to publish articles, satires, stories and plays for children and young readers. In this story, a twelve year old boy becomes leader of a group of children who escape the Roman invasion of Israel in 70 A.D. The book is bound in the original blue cloth covered boards with silver titling on the spine. The case of the book is in very good condition with bumping to the spine ends. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription. The unclipped dustwrapper has some shelf wear with rubbing and some creasing along the top and bottom edges and bumping to the spine ends. The wrapper is in a clear plastic cover that has been attached to the inside of the top and bottom edges, but we believe this may be as issued. Nº de ref. del artículo: gChildLivne01
