This volume attempts to provide an account of those genetically determined conditions that affect the central and peripheral nervous system. The emphasis is on diagnosis, the mode of inheritance, and recurrence risks, and, where there is a conflict, the aim is to provide references which helps clinicians consult the original literature. This edition has been revised and updated to include a number of important neurological conditions which have recently been localized to specific places on the genome, and new DNA based sciences as they affect the neurologist.
