This is the workbook for the upper intermediate part of the two-level "Challenge" language course that also has an intermediate level. It contains further practice of grammar and vocabulary with systematic references to the language review sections of the students' book. The course is topic-based, with particular emphasis on oral fluency, pronounciation and vocabulary. The reading and listening texts are of manageable length and level of difficulty. There is a choice of how to approach the grammar, either inductively or deductively. Realistic activities provide the practice students require to develop their communication skills. The book also includes a language review that explains and summarizes the grammar of the unit. The upper intermediate part of the course also contains a structured writing syllabus which is suitable for students preparing for the Cambridge First Certificate examination, and an extra vocabulary section in the language review. The course also comprises of a teacher's book, a students' book and two cassettes.
