Bronwyn T. Williams is an Assistant Professor in the English Department of the University of Louisville. He teaches and writes about issues of literacy, popular culture, cross-cultural communication, and pedagogy. He lives in Louisville with his wife and twin sons.
Mary Brydon-Miller, Ph.D. directs the University of Cincinnati s Action Research Center and is Professor of Educational and Community-based Action Research in the Educational Studies Program in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services. She is a participatory action researcher who conducts work in both school and community settings. She recently completed work on the "SAGE Encyclopedia of Action Research" with co-editor David Coghlan. Other recent publications focus on the development of new frameworks for understanding research ethics in community settings including chapters in the "SAGE Handbook of Social Research Ethics" and the "SAGE Handbook of Action Research". She is a member of the editorial board of "Action Research" and has co-edited Special Issues of the journal on Ethics and Action Research and Arts-Based Action Research. She is also an active contributor to the new social media site, Action Research Plus, which is developing internet based strategies for disseminating research and building networks. She recently completed a Fulbright Research Fellowship at Keele University in the United Kingdom where her work focused on developing new strategies to inform the ethical conduct of community-based research.
