One of the leading North American writers of his generation, SAUL BELLOW was born in Canada in 1915. His most recent novel, RAVELSTEIN was published to widespread critical acclaim and a renewed appreciation of this great writer. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1976.
