Matthew Richardson was born in 1958 in Canberra, and studied law and arts at university. He has edited and contributed to many bookson historical, cultural and practical subjects; however THE PENGUIN BOOK OF FIRSTS is the first he has completed in his own right. He lives in the Blue Mountains
