This book has been written by two lecturers who have been teaching systems analysis techniques to students for a number of years. Not only have they been active practitioners with first hand knowledge of the techniques described, but have also developed effective ways of getting their message across to students from a wide variety of backgrounds. The book is based on the way they teach, and comes across in an easy, friendly and accessible style. It lays a firm foundation in analysis and is suitable for a wide range of undergraduate courses.The techniques introduced include spray and tree diagrams, data flow diagrams, data modelling, normalisation and entity life histories.
