Authorware: An Introduction to Multimedia incorporates print materials, instructional videos on a CD-ROM, and example files to instruct, model, and demonstrate the skills and concepts needed to use Authorware effectively. Sixteen chapters systematically lead the user through each component of Authorware. Each chapter includes a brief overview followed by instructional objectives that outline what students will know or be able to do upon completing the chapter, listings of new and important words and terms used in the chapter, highlights of tips and tricks for dealing with common development problems, detailed procedures outlining steps to complete important tasks, and study exercises to test comprehension of important concepts and help readers to apply content to a range of applications. Developed by Hooper, the accompanying CD-ROM runs on both Macintosh and PC computers and incorporates instructional videos and demonstration files.
